WOMEN'S NPL

NPL WOMEN 1ST TEAM

2024 was a huge year for our NPL Women, with the first team securing a top-four finish and playing in the final series. Additionally, some of our players secured overseas opportunities, including in Europe, Perth Glory, and the US college system. For 2025, our women will be seeking to replicate the success of 2024 and compete for silverware at the end of the season.

Welcome Samantha Geddes as Head Coach

Fremantle City is thrilled to welcome Samantha Geddes as the new Head Coach for the NPLW team in 2025. Sam brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as head coach of the U15s in the Football West setup from 2021 to 2024, as well as head coach of the U16s WA State Team. Her impressive qualifications, including an A Diploma, combined with her deep passion for the game and extensive knowledge, make her an outstanding addition to Fremantle City.

We are excited for the future under Sam’s leadership and look forward to an inspiring season ahead!

Coral Buxley Continues to Inspire

A true Fremantle City favorite, Coral Buxley brings her wealth of experience and passion for football into the 2025 season as an integral part of the NPLW coaching team. A former first-team player at Fremantle City, Coral transitioned into an assistant coaching role in 2023 and has since been an invaluable mentor for young players on their development journeys. In addition to her coaching role, Coral actively facilitates several junior programs at the club, helping to nurture and develop the next generation of Fremantle City talent.

NPL WOMEN U21

Our Under-21s program provides a dynamic development pathway for junior players, closely aligned with the football philosophy and values of our first team. For the 2025 season, we are thrilled to have Michael Philp at the helm once again, following his successful leadership in 2024. With 15 years of coaching experience across Junior Boys, State League Men, and NPL Women teams, Michel holds a B Diploma from Football Australia. His coaching philosophy centers on empowering players to tackle on-field challenges through training that mirrors real-game scenarios.

NPL WOMEN U18

At Fremantle City FC, nurturing the future of soccer is a top priority. In 2025, we are excited to launch our Under 18s team, led by head coach Craig Anderson and assistant coach Stacey Learmont. Together, they will mentor aspiring players, providing the essential skills and support needed to thrive within our NPL structure. This commitment to youth development not only empowers our athletes but also establishes clear pathways for players emerging from the club’s academy and junior development programs.
